When is Halloween in Seville in 2026

Halloween falls on Saturday 31 October. Because All Saints’ Day lands on a Sunday, Andalusia has moved the bank holiday to Monday 2 November, which makes it a three-day weekend. Events start earlier in the month, so the weekend before is worth a look too.

What to do in Seville on Halloween if you have the whole day

The other half of the job is fitting it all in without rushing. This is our suggested plan for Saturday the 31st, from morning to the small hours.

  • 10:00Stroll through Santa Cruz, or Creepy Halloween Family if you have kids
  • AfternoonSnack stop at Kukuchurro with thick hot chocolate and freshly made churros
  • 18:00Theatrical cemetery tour with La Judería
  • 19:30Don Juan Tenorio by TomaTeatro at the Colegio Santa Ana
  • 21:00Night legend walks, or La Zona at the Muelle de las Delicias
  • 23:45Themed parties in the city-centre venues
  • 00:30One last hot chocolate at Regina, Salvador or Catedral

Morning, a walk through legendary Seville

Start in the Santa Cruz quarter, with its narrow lanes and hidden squares. It has its own mystery by daylight and helps you place the spots you will hear about on the night walks. With kids, Creepy Halloween Family opens at 10:00 and leaves your afternoon free.

Mid-afternoon, churros and chocolate before nightfall

Cup of hot chocolate and churros on a marble table with a small pumpkin

Kuku tip

By late October it gets chilly once the sun goes down, and a thick Spanish hot chocolate is the best way to warm up before the scares begin. We fry our churros to order in clean oil, so they are crunchy outside and light inside.

Depending on where the afternoon takes you, there are four places to stop:

Calle Regina, 12

8:30 to 00:30Near Las Setas

Right by the Encarnación square, where the legends walk ends. Try the churros de papa, made with real potato.

Plaza del Salvador, 15

8:30 to 00:30Heart of the centre

Grab a paper cone of churros to go and enjoy the square.

Calle Alemanes, 7

8:30 to 00:30By the Cathedral

Perfect if you are coming from Santa Cruz.

Calle San Jacinto, 6

Afternoon 17:00 to 21:00Triana

Ideal before the Teatro de Triana or sunset on Calle Betis.

After dark, the scary plan of your choice

Warmed up and ready, it is time for the main event of the night: the Tenorio at 19:30, the La Judería walks from 21:00 or La Zona, with entry at the time on your ticket. If you are going to Isla Mágica, check its calendar, as opening hours change from day to day.

Late at night, a party or one last hot chocolate

If the night goes on, it is time for the themed parties. If you would rather end on something sweet, Regina, Salvador and Catedral stay open until 00:30 for one last hot chocolate while you talk over the scares.

Halloween and All Saints’ Day in Seville, two traditions side by side

Halloween is a recent arrival in Spain. In Seville, 1 November has long been All Saints’ Day (Día de Todos los Santos), with flowers at the San Fernando cemetery, roasted chestnuts on the street and special sweets in the pastry shops. Add to that Zorrilla’s Don Juan Tenorio, a play set in 16th-century Seville that ends on the Night of the Dead.

Tenorio by TomaTeatro

In the courtyard of the Colegio Santa Ana, in Los Remedios. In Spanish verse.

Huesos de santo, buñuelos de viento and roasted chestnuts, traditional All Saints sweets in Spain

And to celebrate at the table, these are the traditional All Saints’ sweets you will find in Seville:

Huesos de santo

Marzipan

Small marzipan tubes, usually filled with sweet egg yolk cream.

Buñuelos de viento

Fried

Hollow fritters filled with custard, cream or chocolate. Cousins of the churro, as both start from a cooked dough fried in hot oil.

Roasted chestnuts

Street stalls

The classic autumn snack, served in a paper cone.

Roasted sweet potato

Oven-baked

Simple, sweet and very seasonal.

Kukuchurro is waiting for you this Halloween in Seville

Halloween in Seville is more than one night. You have a three-day weekend to mix haunted houses, legend walks, theatre and parties, plus the All Saints’ traditions that make these dates special in the city.

And between plans, Seville in autumn calls for a stop to warm up. At Kukuchurro we have been making freshly fried churros and thick hot chocolate in the old town and Triana for years, and these are the nights when they hit the spot.
